Sunday, February 19, 2012, Poon Paregentan Celebration, hosted by the Holy Trinity ACYOA Juniors, immediately following Church Services, in the Charles and Nevart Talanian Cultural Hall. Fun for the whole family: Armenian music and dancing by the Gregory Krikorian Ensemble (Greg Krikorian, oud and vocals; George Righellis, guitar; Charlie Dermenjian, dumbeg; and Michael Sabounjian, keyboard); games and activities for children; children’s costume parade; and delicious “potluck” buffet. Monday, February 20, 2012, Great Lent begins and will end on Friday,
March 30, the day before Lazarus Saturday. During the 40 days of Lent, the great veil (black Altar Curtain) of the Church will
be drawn. Beginning on February 26, and throughout Lent, the Voghchooyn (Kiss of Peace) is not received or passed, and Holy
Communion is not administered. Those in need of Holy Communion may see the Celebrant following the Badarak.

2, 2012, Armenian Women’s Fellowship, 10 a.m.-12:00 noon, hosted by Holy Trinity Armenian Church. All women are invited to this
World Day of Prayer when women all over the world will meet in their respective churches to pray for the women of Malaysia. This year’s theme is “Let Justice Prevail.” English message: Rev. Joanne Hartunian; Armenian message: Silva Khoshafian. Fellowship and Refreshments to follow.
Saturday, March 10, 2012, Regional Saintly Women’s Day, Honoring Martha and Mary, Sisters of Lazarus; hosted by the Women’s Guild of The Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe; 10 a.m., Coffee Reception; 11 a.m., Worship Service; 12 noon, Lenten Luncheon and Program. Further details to follow.
