CHOIR    

Mission:  The choir joins the priest, deacons, and altar servers in celebrating the Divine Liturgy by singing the beautiful hymns of the Divine Liturgy.

Membership Requirements The prospective choir member’s voice is tested by the Director.  There are no age requirements, nor dues.

Guest Speakers/Programs: The AACCA conducts workshops in the Boston area, some that have been hosted by our Choir.  We have had Maestro Khoren Mekanejian, Director of Music Ministry for the Diocese, conduct workshops, as well as Dr. Allen Lannom, renowned conductor of the Masterworks Chorale.

 

Brief History of the Choir

The Boston choir was formed in 1912.  At first, the membership consisted primarily of women, but over the years it grew to include men as well.  The present Choir Director is the Very Reverend Father Oshagan Minassian and the Choir Chair is Gregory Krikorian.
