BIBLE STUDIES

"The Bible is the central book of the Armenian Christian tradition. The stories and language of the Scriptures have infused every aspect of the Armenian heritage, and the Bible continues to be an inspiration to this day. It is an eternal source of fresh, life-giving air, on which generations of Armenians have drawn for sustenance, guidance and consolation –an image which is picturesquely conveyed by the Armenian name for the Bible: ‘Asdvadzashunch,’ or ‘the Breath of God.’ "

-Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, Primate

With these words, our Primate, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, reminds the faithful of the Armenian Church of the timeless importance the Bible has to our lives. As such, we at Holy Trinity Armenian Church feel the call of presenting the "Breath of God" to the greater community on a regular and informal basis. The ongoing aim of all parish Bible Studies is to cover these points: To Help Us Better Know God; To Help Us Look Inwardly; and To Apply the Key Christian Principles to Our Everyday Lives.

In general people hunger for spiritual depth. We want to know what the Bible says and if what it says works in real life. This involves asking tough questions, searching for answers, and discovering how our faith affects our lives.

Our parish Bible Studies seek to meet our adult and young adult needs to explore Holy Scripture by letting it speak to our concerns. The topics chosen are taken from our common worldly experience. Our aim is to provide a bridge from the pages of the Bible to our everyday lives. We hope you join us. And please remember:

Everyone’s best preparation for life:

Read the Bible,

read it again,

and apply it to your life.
